Red to open at Pinewood.
RED Digital Cinema launches its first operation outside the US at Pinewood Studios, England to serve its European customer base, from 1 November 2008.

In anticipation of RED's arrival, Studio tenants are ready to support the new RED community with Pinewood Apple reseller 1080 Pro offering Final Cut Pro-based workstations to manage RED workflows, Pinewood-based Sequence Post creating a facility entirely dedicated to RED-acquired rushes and Shepperton-based Axis Films one of the first companies to purchase a RED One camera system.

Says Pinewood’s CEO Ivan Dunleavy, “Playing host to some of the world’s biggest productions and fast-becoming the focal point for the UK’s creative industry, Pinewood’s lot provides a prime location for RED’s European operations and we wish them every success.”Says Alan Piper of RED Europe, "Outside of the US, the European market is RED's largest. In an effort to support that customer base, we felt that there was no better place to headquarter the facility than in Pinewood, one of the most important centres for film and television production in Europe."
